My candle burns in a "tunnel"Updated a year ago

Did you notice that your candle burns leaving a certain thickness of wax on the edges of your jar as pictured? This situation is common but is not normal since it directly impacts the life of your candle.

Why is my candle burning in a tunnel?

Soy wax candles have an excellent shape memory, that is, the wax keeps in memory the wax surface that was melted during the first ignition and will continue to melt according to this surface.

To avoid any unpleasant surprises, it is really important, during the first ignition, to let your candle burn until the entire wax surface is evenly melted.

Can I fix the tunnel on my candle?

Yes, it is possible to save your candle. The sooner you react, the easier it will be to recover it. We recommend that you follow the foil method explained in this video.
